Toys for the Maryville Academy children’s Thanksgiving Dinner (November 24, 2014)
Holly Cow! Worldwide Equipment Sales Tow Trucks for Tots steps up to the plate and helps Harry Caray’s 7th Inning Stretch and Brandon Marshall with toys for the Maryville Academy children’s Thanksgiving Dinner.
On Tuesday November 18, 2014, a parade of tow trucks will leave Countryside, IL at approximately 6pm traveling Downtown to Harry Caray’s 7th Inning Stretch at Water Tower Place. They should arrive around 7pm to deliver a trailer full of toys for the Children of Maryville Academy.
On Monday, November 24th, Chicago Bears star Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall, Harry Caray’s 7thInning Stretch and the Chicago Sports Museum will host a special Thanksgiving Dinner for the children ofMaryville Academy. Approximately 100 children from two of Maryville’s campuses will have a fun filledevening and enjoy a classic Thankssgiving dinner at Harry Caray’s 7th Inning Stretch at Water Tower Place.At the end of the evening, Brandon and several of his teammates will hand out these donated holidaygifts to each child to take home.
Tow Trucks for Tots is a nonprofit 501c who has 3 main goals.
1. To bring a much needed toy to a very deserving boy or girl.
2. To further enhance the image of the towing industry.
Worldwide Equipment Sales Tow Trucks for Tots holds the Guinness Book of World Record for the World’s Largest Tow Truck Parade (324 Trucks). Their parade is held each year on the second Sunday in November. Tow Trucks for Tots collects and donates toys to different charities such as the Walter and Connie Payton Foundation, The Mark Stachely Pediatric Cancer Foundation, NFL Alumni who visit hospital during the holidays to bring cheer to children, Children’s Homes, Food Pantries, and more. Each year they try to pick out an additional event to help out. One year they delivered toys to Elkhart Indiana who had the highest unemployment rated in the country, another year they delivered toys to NY after Hurricane Sandy destroyed several towns, and last year they delivered toys to Washington IL after tornados devastated the town. Tow Trucks for Tots is very excited to help out Harry Caray’s and Brandon Marshall and is looking forward to the joy they can bring to the children of Maryville Academy.
